  1. In the book "Schooled," the main character "Capricorn Anderson" (Cap) portraits the characteristics from our past society of the 1960's-1970's. Cap shares these same characteristics and interested because he was raised by his grandmother whom has stayed stuck in the 1960's for all these years gone by, and she raised Cap the same way that she lived. A nice, mellow, tie dyed teen. Who has stuck to Rain's knowledge and has only seen the outside world , that is, to go buy supplies with Rain, out of Garland the place he calls home. With very little knowledge Cap, proves that being a peace keeper is always the answer to all the obstacles that will confront a person in life. Especially Cap.

Hugh Winkleman, He has been everybody's punching bag for as long as he can remember. It would no surprise to him if he was 8th Grade Student Body President. What C Average students do yearly is they pick the most lame "president" so they could pick on them and watch tem make fool of them selves. Well it is a surprise to Hugh and Cap when they find out that Cap is the new 8th grade president. But, What people think is going to be a terrible year for Cap is actually a good year for him.
