I think the most important thing to me about leaders are that people are going to look up to you and you have to set an example for the next generation because whatever we do they are going to do next so we really have to be careful about what we do and what really stood out to me was when Cap thought he couldn't go to school but he remembered what Rain had told him and it was "To never give up".

This is important because when your a leader your supposed to make everyone's life easier and make decisions others usually can't make. They depend on your decisions to help them along. Noami depends on Zach's decisions and embrace's Zach decisions he make's for them. Noami doesn't realize until later that it affects her and everyone around them. Quote- " Cap spent two hours in the costodian's closest and I felt awful about it but my hands were tied, I was with Zach." Noami knew it was wrong but ignored it since she was with Zach. Zach doesn't because a true leader towards the end of te book when everyone thinks Cap is dead.
The most important thing to me about leaders and leaderships are that sometimes your leaders can make you or break you but at the end you come out better. Like Cap because everyone hated him but it made him stronger and it brought everyone to like him. Like rain said she thinks that alot of people at the school would be happy to see him there again.
What I think is important about leaders is that they are not bossy. Also that they don't list power go to their head. They have to make reasonable decisions, and listen to others opinions. And be confident, energetic, and influential.
At Capricorn's memorial service, Naomi says,"He showed me a new way to be. How to be sensitive and generous--and not just so people will say thank you, but because it's right." This shows that Capricorn had influenced Naomi and probably a lot of others too. (page 192)
The most important thing to me about leadership is the responsibility and sportsmanship of that person towards others. The way they lead or guide a group is also important. Like how Rain leads Cap against violence "violence is not the answer to anything."

To me a leader is someone we can confide in and trust our secrets with. An idol or role model is what i think of a good leader. If a leader can take reasponsibility for their actions that makes them an even better leader. There are some good leaders and some bad leaders who take advantage of people who follow them. A good leader is someone who dislikes " Unfinished buisness". Hugh Winkleman was going to tell Cap to go to the office and say you don't want to be president but then he thought to himself, " better him than me." That wasn't showing leadrship qualities. A true leader would of walked up to Zach in a polite way and said " leave my friend alone." That is what a leader does make life some what easier for people and speak for others who are afraid to defend themselves.

But what happened to Cap was that he had people being really mean to him but in the end it backfired on those people because it ended up where everybody loved Cap but they wanted nothing to do with the people that were being mean to Cap. Even though Cap went through all of these "traps and pitfalls" he came out a better person.
